Background
The well was spud on July 4, 2026. The planned total depth was 5,431 ft, with an actual total depth of 5,451 ft.

Through refined drilling parameter optimization and on-site management, the well achieved significant rate improvement while ensuring wellbore integrity. ROP in all sections substantially exceeded design targets, NPT was controlled at 2.2%, active operation time reached 86.3%, and the well was completed in just 16.94 days, fully demonstrating Brilliant's technical advantages in efficient drilling.
Challenge
The operation required completing all sections from 26" surface casing to 9-5/8" intermediate casing in complex formations, while controlling non-productive time and ensuring wellbore stability.
Solution
By optimizing bit selection and drilling parameters, developing section-specific rate improvement plans, and strengthening on-site operation management, drilling efficiency was effectively enhanced.
Results
Actual ROP exceeded design targets in all sections, with 50 ft/hr in the 17-1/2" section (plan: 36 ft/hr) and 46 ft/hr in the 12-1/4" section (plan: 35 ft/hr). NPT was only 2.2%, with active operation time at 86.3%. The well was completed in 16.94 days, demonstrating exceptional drilling efficiency.
